Hello world!

Thanks to my friends Chris (Fat Pants Killer) & Steph (The Infamous Shopgirl), I am inspired to create this blog. I am very, very new to this – so please bare with me. I’m not a writer, but I view this as a great escape for my thoughts.

As you can tell by the title, I’m mad & fat! LOL! No, but really…I have decided to once again focus my efforts on becoming healthy. Technically, I am overweight and I could stand to lose a few pounds. I believe that writing about my experiences on a daily basis will help me focus, keep my eye on the prize & hold me accountable for my actions.

I also love sharing fitness tips, great recipes (because I love to eat) and to inspire others to live a healthy lifestyle. Why mad? Well, there are things that happen to each of us during the battle of the bulge – why doesn’t anyone tell us about these things?

Well, I hope to share some of these things…and while doing so, I will share my results, photos, successes, failures & questions. I hope to do this for the next 90 days.

So, here is a picture of me and my friend Akua – who also happens to be a kick-butt trainer. (I’m not ready to train with her yet) But this was taken just a few days ago, around my birthday. That is me to the right. I don’t look so bad…well, at least that is what I thought that day. Cameras don’t lie…or do they?
